When choosing a door becomes a game
Biodoor sells interior doors, and we created a fundamentally new way for its customers to interact with the catalog. Instead of static product cards, there is an interactive online configurator that lets shoppers pick a door and see it in their interior before they buy.
The key idea: online shoppers are tired of standard stores. Holding their attention takes interactivity that turns a routine choice into an engaging experience. The Biodoor configurator lets users “try on” a door in their own interior — choose the material, color and hardware and see the result in a realistic visualization.
Beyond the configurator, we built a complete UI system of 440 blocks and elements, a style guide and a Brand Book. This made every brand touchpoint consistent — from the website to print materials.

What we delivered
Online interior configurator
The user picks a door model, material and color and sees the result in a virtual interior. Getting to feel like a designer draws visitors into the experience. The solution scales to mobile devices, tablets and even widescreen TVs for the most realistic presentation possible.
A 440-block UI kit
A full design system for Biodoor’s entire digital presence. 440 ready-made blocks and elements keep the website, advertising and print materials consistent. The Brand Book and style guide make it easier for the company’s departments to work together.
Instant search
Typing just three characters is enough for the system to return relevant results. Search is optimized for speed and accuracy, so visitors find the right door in seconds instead of minutes of scrolling through the catalog.
Customer account with a loyalty program
Transaction history, account top-ups, cashback and a referral program — the customer account is designed for repeat sales and long-term customer relationships. Managers process every action in the account instantly.
From research to scaling
The project went through several iterations — from initial research into the door market to final scaling across all platforms.
Market research
A competitive analysis of the interior door segment. The finding: more than 67% of customers come through referrals. The takeaway: impress one visitor, and they will bring their friends and acquaintances.
Design system
Building a 440-block UI kit. A style guide and Brand Book for consistency across every medium: the website, advertising materials, social media and print.
Configurator
Building an interactive door configurator. The visitor chooses a model, material, color and hardware, and the system shows the door in a virtual interior in real time.
Scaling
Adapting the configurator to mobile phones, tablets and widescreen TVs. The project followed a mobile-first methodology so it displays correctly on any device.
Every detail considered
Stop Eye effect on the home page
The home page is designed around an “eye-stopping” effect — restrained marketing in favor of conversion. Instead of intrusive promo blocks, a clean design draws attention to the configurator and Biodoor’s key advantages.
Unconventional layout for information pages
On secondary content pages, visitors usually skim the text and leave. Our solution was to “loosen up” the blocks by adding white space and visual pauses. The result: visitors stay on information pages much longer.
Configurator video presentation
For those who prefer to see the configurator in action first, we produced a video that demonstrates all of its features. The video is embedded in the project page and shows the door selection process from the first click to the final visualization.
Optimized for conversion
Being able to see a door in the interior before buying builds trust in the store. Shoppers make an informed decision, which lowers the return rate and raises satisfaction. The distance between choosing and buying shrinks — fewer doubts, faster deals.
Mobile-first approach
The project was built from the mobile version up to the desktop one. This lets content display correctly on any device — from a smartphone to a widescreen TV.

How interactivity drives sales
More time on site
The configurator turns choosing a door into an engaging experience. Visitors spend much more time exploring combinations of materials and colors, which makes a purchase more likely.
Referrals and word of mouth
An impressed visitor shares the configurator link with friends and acquaintances. Every satisfied user becomes a free advertising channel for the business.
Fewer returns
Seeing the door in the interior before buying minimizes “not what I expected” situations. Shoppers come to the store with a specific choice rather than vague wishes.

Results: when the product speaks for itself
The Biodoor project proved that an interactive approach to the catalog radically changes shopper behavior. Instead of passively browsing product cards, shoppers actively explore, compare options and visualize the result. The door configurator, a 440-module UI kit, the Brand Book and a responsive layout from smartphone to widescreen TV — every element serves one goal: letting shoppers “touch” the product before they buy. Online shoppers are tired of standard stores, and Biodoor offered something memorable that people share with their friends.
