Project overview

An online store with attention to every detail

RF Floors is a project that brings together an online store, a complete branding package and an interactive PDF catalog. Refined design with the focus on the product.

Online store

A floor coverings store focused on the visual presentation of products. The white background brings out the textures and colors of the flooring. Product pages include photos, technical specifications, the price and alternative options. Arrows for navigating between product pages make comparing and choosing easier.

Branding

A complete brand book: logo, color palette, typography and usage rules for different media. The animated logo is a particular point of pride: smooth animation of the logo elements creates a memorable visual effect when the site loads and in the company’s videos. The animation is built to work on both fast and slow connections.

PDF catalog

An interactive PDF catalog that links through to extended information on every product. The catalog is designed for dealers and partners: they can send it to a customer, who opens the document, picks a product and goes to the website to study the specifications in detail and place an order.

Solutions

Key project solutions

Every decision is aimed at making it easier to choose flooring and at raising the average order value through cross-selling and upselling.

Animated logo

The RF Floors logo comes to life as the site loads: its elements appear smoothly and form the final composition. The animation is also used in videos, presentations and on order confirmation pages. This technique makes the brand more memorable and adds a premium feel to interacting with the store.

Interactive PDF

The PDF catalog is not just a static document but an interactive sales tool. Every product links to an extended product page on the website. Dealers and managers send the catalog to customers, who choose a flooring option in a convenient format and go to the website to order straight from the document.

Cross-selling and upselling

A recommendation system on the product page: alternatives that match in style and color (cross-selling) and premium options with better specifications (upselling). Arrows for navigating between product pages let shoppers compare several options quickly without going back to the catalog or losing the context of their choice.

Product parsing

Automated data collection from supplier catalogs: name, SKU, specifications, price, availability and photos. The parser processes data from several sources and brings it to a single format. Updates run regularly, keeping information current for shoppers.

Refined design

The “white and product” design concept: a white background makes the textures and colors of the flooring stand out as much as possible. Minimal decorative elements, clean lines and well-considered typography. Every pixel serves the perception of the product, not the decoration of the store interface.

Brand book

The complete RF Floors brand book sets the rules for using the logo, color palette and typography across all media: the website, print, outdoor advertising and packaging. A single standard keeps the brand recognizable at every customer touchpoint.

Methodology

Stages of building the store and the RF Floors brand

An end-to-end process: from logo design to the launch of an online store with an interactive PDF catalog.

01

Branding and concept

Designing the RF Floors logo with animation in mind. Creating the brand book: color palette, typography and usage rules for different media. Defining the store’s design concept — clean white with the focus on the product. Designing an animated version of the logo for the website and the company’s videos.

02

Online store and parsing

Designing a product page with alternatives and animated transitions. Building the cross-selling and upselling system. Developing a parser that automatically collects data from supplier catalogs. Setting up arrows for moving between product pages for easy comparison. Integrating the recommendation system.

03

PDF catalog and launch

Creating an interactive PDF catalog with built-in links to product pages. Testing the links in various PDF viewers. Preparing the branded folder and print materials. Final testing of the store on all target devices. Launch and handover to the client’s team.

Honest answers about how we work, what it costs, and what you can expect

The PDF catalog contained built-in links to product pages on the website. A shopper opened the catalog, chose a flooring option and clicked the link — the full product page opened on the website with detailed specifications and the option to place an order. The catalog was intended primarily for the dealer sales channel.
Each product page showed alternative options: another color from the same collection (cross-selling) and a more premium equivalent with better specifications (upselling). Navigation arrows made it quick to switch between product pages to compare textures and colors visually.
A white background is a deliberate choice for a floor coverings store. Shoppers decide based on visual qualities: texture, color and pattern. A white background doesn’t compete with the product for attention, making the visual features of each flooring option stand out as much as possible on the catalog page and the product page.
